Fun at Stockport Pride

Staff and volunteers from Walthew House were invited to take part in this year’s Stockport Pride event on Sunday 31st July 2022.

We were joined by other like-minded people and organisations from across the local community for a fantastic day in sunny Stockport!

We were able to talk about services, meet new people and even raise some money for our own charity on our stall at the historic Market Place. Thank you to everyone who played our bottle tombola, lucky dip and guess the name of the teddy (it was Wendy Walthew of course!) – we raised £280 to help us continue to support people in Stockport living with sight or hearing loss.

It was such a well-organised event, with plenty of helpful volunteers to ensure everything ran smoothly. We are looking forward to next year already! If you are interested in volunteering at future events, find out more here.
