Resource Centre

Walthew House Resource Centre is a not for profit shop selling assistive equipment for people with a sight or hearing loss. The centre is staffed by trained volunteers and we are able to provide information and demonstrate a wide range of specialist equipment for people with a sensory loss, including professional magnifiers, landline phones, smartphones, talking watches, loop systems and day lamps, so customers can be sure the products they buy are suitable for their needs, order (and advise on stockists of) non-stock items, and assist with returns and repairs.

We are able to undertake magnifier assessments and sell a wide range of hand held magnifiers. We are also agents for British Wireless for the Blind.

The resource centre is open 10:00am - 2:30pm Monday - Wednesday at Walthew House, 112 Shaw Heath, Stockport, SK2 6QS. Please book an appointment at the centre by calling 0161 480 2612 or by sending an email to admin@walthewhouse.org.uk
