Blind Bowling

Blind Bowling

Each year, Walthew House hosts a ‘Blind Bowling’ tournament in which teams of four from local businesses and organisations enter to test their bowling skills, whilst raising funds to support Walthew House.

However, unlike a normal bowling tournament, players are provided with blindfolds or simulation glasses to simulate the experience of being visually impaired or blind. This mirrors the way in which our very own, professional, Walthew House visually impaired bowling team play!

We were kindly joined by Mayor of Stockport, Councillor Walter Brett.
