Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket for this year’s Easter Raffle, which was drawn here on Tuesday 4th April.
The lucky first prize winner was one of our volunteers, Chris, who supports our walking group each week at the Stockport Harriers athletics track in Woodbank Park. Chris was delighted with her hamper, filled with Easter-themed treats, saying “Thank you so much! I shared the contents with so many people as there were just lots of goodies in the hamper. Loved it!”
The other winners of the second and third place prize hampers were volunteer Jon and visually impaired service user Pat. Well done to all of our winners, we hope they helped to ensure you had a lovely Easter celebration!
The raffle raised an amazing £1,163 for our charity, which will help us continue to support people across Stockport living with sight or hearing loss. We are very grateful for the local supermarkets who supported our fundraising by donating items for the hamper, including Asda Reddish, Tesco Portwood and Morrisons Cheadle Heath. Local resident Sarah also generously donated a beautiful crocheted Easter wreath, which formed part of the first prize that Chris was able to share with her grandchildren!
Thanks again to everyone who bought a ticket – we run another raffle at Christmas, so another chance to win!
